You used 2% interest as “today’s interest rate.”
A 30yr 2% loan would result in $148,784 total interest paid on a $450K loan.

Wrong on both.
4% would come out to $540,000 in interest.
2% would be about $270,000. I rounded down, he used closer to 2.25%, which is still not a serious thing to do.

I use a card for convenience and always pay it off at the end of the month.

On several occasions. Perhaps you should refrain from saying things like...

By being above average.

Have you seen, or do you believe you are aware of a country in which the opportunities to "get ahead" are better than the US?

Yet everyone is still buying $80K trucks, Chargers on 24s, tattoos, smokes, liquor, and weed.

The most efficient way is to walk up to the nearest street corner, buy some heroine and just live

Told my children from a young age, if you’re gonna go to college, you’ll need to secure the money for most of it.
Why have kids if you can't provide for them?

Well frick you man. We are. When you were our age, you could work at the fricking grocery store or fricking McDonald’s and own a home and support your damn family. God that fricking makes me so fricking mad. Boomers need to just kick the bucket.

How much was your first house you frick?
BTW, I paid $60,000 for my first house in 2003. 2/2 brick home in the country on one acre of land, about 1200 square feet. I owned a used car lot and wasn’t making a lot of money, but I saved $10,000 for a down payment and my monthly note was a little over $500. Maybe you should move somewhere with a lower cost of living instead of crying like a little bitch.
You’re probably a Democrat that voted for politicians that have caused all of these problems.

Do you have any more gotchas about how easy it used to be? It was easy, but not because the tasks were easier; it was because the people were tougher.
That whiny little bitch thinks people working the counter at McDonalds years ago were buying houses in the burbs.
It’s always been tough to make it to the middle class and above. No one I know in the middle class has an entry level menial job. They all have skills that make them valuable to their employers or they own their own businesses.
Sounds like he’s a Democrat with no skills and is pissed that he can’t make middle class money.

That dude either doesn't know how to manage his money or he has no clue what a "very good paying job" actually is.
Years ago had a roughneck showing a picture of his new F-250 to a friend of mine. In the background was a rundown mobile home. My friend says, “Is that your trailer in the background?” Guy says yes. My friend says, “Man you bought a $70,000 truck and you live in a $5,000 mobile home? You’ve got your priorities all fricked up.”
