Gender and sex were interchangeable terms until lefts decided they wanted a way to describe their subjective feelings about themselves differently than what their biology determines.
They say gender is a social construction but it isn't. What they mean is that gender traits (aside from biology) are social constructions. They are actually referring to masculinity and femininity and applying those traits towards an identification that doesn't conform to historical norms.
It's classic deconstructionism. They take something that everyone understands and destroys the meaning so that they can create a new meaning. In this case, they are taking their subjective understanding of gender and replacing sex with it because sex and gender (in their minds) are at odds with one another.
They have psychological issues that need to be treated but instead want everyone else to accept their subjective feelings as reality that is binding on others.

I can continue if you like? As you can see I can pretend Age is social construct like you can pretend Gender is.
By that definition, the number of years is objective while modifiers describing age (young, old, mature, etc) are subjective. That definition isn't conducive to your giving a false number of years you've been alive on this planet.

I remember a debate with Jordan Peterson and some SJW professor where the later said there were 28 different genders. If I was in that debate, but I couldn’t help myself by making this retort:
“I don’t know what planet you are from but welcome to Earth. There may be 28 genders where you are from, but if you go talk to people around here and travel the countryside, you will find indisputable proof there are only two. You have to be insane to think otherwise, and spare me the intersexed since that is a genetic malformation.”

Anyone's "scale" or "theory" is just that and only that. You give it validity because it suits your bias.
Objective reality is just that--objective reality. One cannot "scale" or "theory" ones way out of it.
