How bad will the meltdown be in 2020 if Trump wins again?

I'm an objective Trump supporter, the EO on the ban was completely mishandled, the fake news thing has become stupid and petty, Sessions is a terrible pick, and the Flynn pick has completely bitten this administration on the arse....
With that said, this "WH under siege" narrative that the left is trying to sell will fall flat in 2020. Why? Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do. He's going to build the wall, he's going to initiate tax reform, he's held his word on the refugee situation, he made a very good SCOTUS pick, etc. The complete, insane meltdown of the left along with the swift delivery of many campaign promises is going to secure many of the votes he had in 2016 along with many more if he can continue on this path.

"Draining the swamp" cost Newt his job 4 years later. The bureaucracy will not go down without a fight.

It's too early to know.
The far left will never accept Trump, just like the far right never accepted Obama. Trump still has a chance to win a lot of favor over the other 90% of the country, however, and could be leading by a wide margin heading into the 2020 re-election.

The melt on here when trump gets steamrolled will be a spectacle for the ages

Not as bad, most of the melters will be in FEMA camps by then

Who cares?
How about he focuses on things that actually matter besides wall talk and whining about fake news?
Where's the healthcare plan, where's the tax plan, etc
There will be a lot less melting if he actually makes the country better

Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

I heard this frequently in the days leading up to November 8th, friend-o.

My point is the narrative that the left with is only reinforced by people who did not vote for him

On the way, I'm sure.

There's the rub though. No matter how much he may "improve" things for the betterment of the country, nearly half will deem it detrimental to the country.
The argument of "if" will always be left up to interpretation.

Sounds familiar. Is this a recycled post from before the election?

Exactly. The goalposts will always be moved. Improve the lives of the middle class? "Homelessness is now a crisis!" "What about the poor!"
Improve climate for business, "he's a capitalist pig!!"

Well those irrational loonies do not matter
A reasonable/intelligent person will accept the improvements and vote accordingly
If things do improve, he will have my vote
Although I doubt he runs again. It's a pretty shitty job.

I think you underestimate the average person's ability to adapt.
There will always be opposition to Trump but if he brings back jobs, the economy improves, he somehow installs an ACA replacement that covers everyone and is cheaper, and crime decreases appreciably, he will begrudgingly gain support from the left. There would be no insane meltdown.
