It's going to be under $2 soon.

$1.89 in Katy Tx. Multiple places in Texas below $2.00. Wrecking my oil stocks. I'd like to see $3/gal cause I drive 5 miles a day.

For some reason, the Exxon in walker shot up 27 cents the day after Christmas. It's at 2.49.

I won't consider it cheap till we cross this threshold.

While it is good for the consumer, it may not be that great for the oil guys.

They wouldn’t sell it at a price per gallon that isn’t profitable.

I certainly don’t mind paying the ~$2.30 I have as of late.

You’re willing to pay more than you have to? Ok.

Not having an admin hostile toward cheap energy is a good start.

Why do you think this is a burn?

Charging at home is still cheaper, you can wake up with a full tank every day, have basically no maintenance, and out accelerate most gas cars.

Seriously, help me understand.

It’s not meant as a burn.

It’s to point out hypocrisy.

Most of the variations you see within a state are dictated by local taxes.

simple. In blue States continue to drive the price up and then get a compliant media to report on that. That creates the perception simultaneously that it isn't real and if real Trump is specifically blocking the price drops because he's a meanie

But Trump has A LOT to do with the average national price fluctuations 2017-2021 and 2025 vs 2021-2024. If you can’t recognize and admit that, you’re hopeless.

So it's a total coincidence that it was lower during Trump's first term, rose during Bidens term and dropped again in Trump's second term?
