This bill supports NPR, the same "Public Radio" that lamblasts him daily.

Just heard the most absurd segment I have ever heard in my life. Politician from Texas just said he voted NO against the Omnibus Bill BECAUSE there was 1.6bn for "a border wall".

The interviewer never even stopped him to correct him, that it wasnt a border wall, but for a border fence. That none of the prototypes will be allowed and portions of the border are off limits. 1.6 out of billions needed for a border wall.

This bullshite continues to get funded.

Then just heard that the Austin Bomber targeted black people and was racially motivated.

Turned it off. Socialist radio. And funded. Pravda in America.

There’s been talk of pulling gov’t funding of public broadcasting since at least the 80s, and that’s why I’m sure it’ll never happen. All talk.

I’m not for gov funding of NPR (which I listen to daily), but that’s an absurd reason though. In a democracy it’s great to have media critical of our politicians. Instead a lot of you search out things that are just a damned pep rally.

99% of our media, including NPR, is critical of the GOP exclusively, to the point of being propaganda for the left. There is not a single honest and politically aware person in this country who doesn’t know this.

It’s not 99%, your partisan radar just doesn’t pick up the other shite. The media does lean left and yeah I think that’s a problem. We need non bias media sources. Nobody seeks that out though.

npr is no less a democrat media outlet than cnn or msnbc...one would have to conclude that the powers that be either never listen to npr or support their ideology.

They’re right about one thing. There’s a revolution coming to America. It just won’t be how they expect it.

Just heard a segment where the interviewer interviews Hogg a classmate from Parkland, and two from a school in Washington DC. Piece wasnt bad, but wasnt informative or helpful for any progress towards finding a solution to gun violence. I was waiting for the punchline--a resolution.

There was none offered. Vague and senseless piece. One was "lax gun laws and background checks in (OF ALL PLACES) Virginia". Hus claim was the guns were coming into the state from Virginia into DC and used for violence in the District.

Listened for the first time in over two decades when my grandmpther use to listen to it all day long. Wanted to know what we are funding.

NPR is regressive propaganda.

The left is just like Russia in that regard. Tax dollars should not support it.

If you divorce yourself from the idea of any kind of control or influence, it's a lot easier to understand, I think.

How much government funding does NPR get...just curious..

They have a lot of donors other than that.

I'd rather my money go to that than a border fence in another country or Greek students or some crap like that.

Why in hell are those things something we should pay for?

Let's give a bird some drugs and see what happens...craaaaap

I agree with you, but public radio should be apolitical.

It should show no obvious bias towards any party. It should be strictly informative for the public to have access to what their expensive arse government is up to.

That isnt what I hear and what is being used for. It is a propaganda tool that spews lies that even a liberal should hate.

I am as small government as it gets. Id do away with so many departments the only thing left would be a vacant building in washington.

And, the smaller the federal government the less incentives lobbyist and corporations have towards influencing big government.

I didn't say it was right.

I said we need to eliminate tax dollars paying for that commie nonsense.

No way, you must not listen to it. NPR and PBS are much more towards the center than either of those. They do lean left on things but generally it’s more non bias.

I posted this fact in another thread.

I made the point that one piece of evidence that supports the notion that the GOP and Dems are in substantial agreement on all of the big issues AND that both parties hate POTUS Trump is this:

The GOP controls the Congress AND YET they voted to increase funding to NPR, which is a proven Leftist Internationalist Globalist Socialist Propaganda Outlet that bashes Trump every day.

Now, why would the GOP-controlled Congress do such a thing if they were REALLY opposed to the Democrats?

With that sort of thought process it's no wonder you support it. Being critical of the Government and flat out false information is two different things. The NPR side NEVER is in support of anything conservative. Taxpayer money to support that bullshite is a hijack of taxpayer contributions. You shouldn't be afraid to see where it winds up if it were forced to go private. Or are you?

Mississippi spends $7.2 million each year for NPR and all it does is criticize the Repub party.

Should be shut down ASAP.
