I bet if the CIA was around in 41 y'all would have blamed them for pearl harbor. Not saying they don't do some f'ed up stuff but seems like every foreign problem we have is blamed on the CIA.

The Houthis made this offer to Trump in an interview with @DropSiteNews

That interview is a month old.

quote:

A senior leader of Ansar Allah, commonly known as the Houthis, told Drop Site News that if the U.S. ends its campaign of air strikes against Yemen, Houthi forces will commit to halting all attacks on U.S. ships in the region. “We do not consider ourselves at war with the American people,” said Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of Ansar Allah’s political bureau and a longtime spokesperson for the Houthis. “If the U.S. stops targeting Yemen, we will cease our military operations against it.”

This doesn't suggest complete capitulation by the Houthis

This was never just about our ships, so it sounds like capitulation from Trump.

I guess we'll see. I have just learned not to take anything President Trump says as being true without some verification. Oman brokered the deal. I am inclined to agree with their description of the situation.

Is the clip of Trump, Vance and Rubio saying they have a very reliable source a month old?

A reliable source… Is it the Houthis? Haven’t seen any reporting on that yet.

A Houthi pledge to keep attacking Israeli ships doesn't SOUND like capitulation to me.

The clip is on all major outlets. Trump said he wouldn’t reveal the source. My guess, and I could be completely wrong, is that this is really a request from Iran. They know they’ve been in our sights since this campaign began a month or so ago and aren’t willing to let it go any further.

Is there ANY clip of Vance and Rubio saying ANYTHING about the alleged deal?

Trump literally said “there is no deal.” What are you trying to ask?

He said “The Houthis don’t want to fight anymore. They said they would stop attacking shipping so we will take their word for and stop bombing then immediately.”

It’s not a very difficult conversation to follow. I’m confused as to what’s tripping you up.

The conversation from the President is easy to follow. Without naming the source when asked about it, President Trump said they gave up and we agreed not to bomb them anymore.

I'm saying that according to Oman, the agreement is that the US and the Houthis agreed not to bomb each other anymore. The Houthis were only attacking American ships because of America support for the enemies of the Houthis.

So...if Oman is telling the truth, this is a massive victory for the Houthis: America won't be fighting proxy wars against the Houthis for Israel or Saudi Arabia.

Of course, I could be wrong. I HOPE the Houthis have "capitulated" and that President Trump, the master negotiator, is on his way to finding a peaceful and just resolution of the conflict. It just seems that if that were true President Trump would have shared the details with his employers, the American people.

I get the Houthis can break their word, but I remember posters claiming Trump is wasting his time bombing the Houthis, because they can wait out the bombing as long as it takes.

The best were the posters who argued the US has no strategic interests in the Suez Canal or these sea lanes

Trump also plays these cutesy games like this.
Because frick the MEDIA, they don't need details so Trump toys with them with his "cutesy games".
