It’s a good attempt at compromise. Those who reject it don’t realize that it will always take some compromise as we’ll never be completely rid of establishment Republican cucks. If we can get most of what we want, I say go for it.

Do you understand how enforcing criminal law works? Illegal immigration is a crime just like others. If someone is arrested and retained for prosecution for assault he/ is put in jail. If he/she cannot post bail or, as in the cases for illegal immigrants, a flight risk, the are kept in detention AND ARE SEPARATED FROM THEIR FAMILIES. So these procedures of separating the innocent from the accused is normal criminal practice procedure. It is not especially targeted to illegals. And by changing that status will give these rights that American citizens DO NOT HAVE.
So I am totally against treating illegals better than Americans and I hope Trump vetoes this if passed.

Only if it is DOUBLE the regular time for someone who played by the rules, and requires 100% payment of all back taxes (federal, state and ss/fica).

Depends on the details of the "pathway", jn. If criminal record is a disqualifier and reason for deportation - and how could it not be in an honest Bill - then it may be worth looking into.
Oh, and NO voting rights for 20 years, as a punishment for original criminality.

Trump is giving Fatboy a pass, for a rock solid promise of de-nuking. Could be the same with Illegals. If Trump okays the Deal, many pragmatic Republicans will hold fast.
I'm not against honest, productive, responsible and Constitution-believing Immigrants coming into this Country. If they prove it, good enough. Slackers, Commies and Gangstas go back over the Wall.
