Hosting a party with nothing but liberal guests

We’re having a dinner party to celebrate SirWinston’s 13th birthday and already a leftist college professor who came over early to help with food made a crack in my direction about drinking bleach.
Advice on how I parry jabs like this? I’ve been tuned out of politics for 2 weeks bc I’m just not a fan of what GEOTUS has been saying lately.
Don’t know our talking points - would rather not have to resort to whataboutism about Biden. Please help amigos.

Do they know your political leanings? If not, make jokes about immigration.

Just tell him he's a moron b/c the prez didn't "tell" anyone to do anything. He asked the science guy if it was something they could look in to. Which is not really great either, but a far cry from telling people to do it or even telling said guy he should look in to it.

Also, crack some jokes about government being in control of healthcare. Something like "Whew!! Thank God we didn't have single payer before Trump got in office. Could you imagine having him, or any Republican having a say over our healthcare decisions? Crazy!"

My brother drank bleach and has not gotten COVID-19. He really did. He was at a casino and went back to his room at the end of the night. He grabbed a bottle of water and started drinking it. His throat started burning immediately and he smelled the bleach. He took the bottle down to the front desk, and they called an ambulance. The doctor called the hotel and said he needed the bottle to determine how to treat it. The hotel said they did not have it. So he told them he was sending the police over and advised that they find it. Turns out both water bottles contained 12.5% bleach. Pretty messed up.

Also DocRock had some good info regarding New Medical Procedures involving both Disinfectants and UV Light internally.
Lot's of New and Good Medical potential for these.
