I’m not used to adults speaking solely in platitudes and calling it a point. I’m also not used to adults calling other adults “literally retarded.” Should I apologize that I’m a bit appalled by your behavior?

Not at all. You can’t help being mentally slow. It is what it is.

What does a “first” unification mean when that “unification” was shattered time and time and time again.

Does United States history or sense of national identity begin with the Civil War?

There are countless Japanese groups that were destroyed over the centuries.

Let me know when japan becomes a failed state being a tiny island nation with limited natural resources.

Ya know, since small island nations that have limited natural resources are unable to become world powers.

Seems like the only appropriate response here is “I know you are but what am I?”

I obviously don’t post here hardly at all anymore but I was naively hoping to hear some thoughts on that theory I mentioned that was presented in that steel, guns book.

Give us an example of the most recent. And lay out how they were different from the current day Japanese. You know, for comparative purposes.

Depends on who you ask. To some, yes. Before that people were “texans” “New Yorkers” “Virginians”

Afterwords you see a lot more national feeling of being an “American” over what state you are from.

Same for japan. Ask a person from each of the warring states what they were and they would each give a different answer. Today, however, we see them as all Japanese.

Can you call European immigration to Native American occupied North America “legal”?

Your premise is false.I wouldn't call it that at all.
They didn't "immigrate here. They conquered the land, which was the norm for the day. Same thing the Indians did to other tribes.

After the first settlers came and conquered, others immigrated. And continue to immigrate here to this day.

You've been calling others liars and accusing them of being inebriated. Now you want to play victim?

Wait I though Muh immigration and diversity built empires?

If any country is currently an empire it's this one

Seems like the diversity and immigration you fear so much is doing an absolutely terrible job of tearing down the empire

Where did I ever claim they'd be any different? The point is that if we are going to establish a timeline for forging national identity on a comparative basis it's ridiculous to go back to the Tainos given that the culture is dead.

You keep saying “honest discussion” but can’t admit to using the phrase homogenous population as a virtue earlier. Is it a positive or negative in building, maintaining a country’s National pride and potential sustainability?
