Yay a whole generation that thinks Jesus wrote the constitution.

it's ironic that you're attempting to be intellectually condescending but you are too ignorant to know that Jesus isn't even his name.

False. Public schools are getting a boost because the parents are realizing how much they enjoy sending their children away.

Wouldn't it be something if public schooling never recovers from this, after parents realize their kids finished the semester just fine under their own teaching?

Something tells me you don't have both parents working in that scenario.

Home schooling
I am a huge fan of home schooling and have witnessed firsthand the results as compared to gubmit' schools. No contest. A properly applied home school regiment far exceeds the public sector

Home schools are local home school organizations if I'm not mistaken.

Somewhat.

Many home school families are also affiliated with organizations. But some aren't.

Interestingly, the increase in home school families is not from the religious crowd but the irreligious crowd.

I think home schools are great if the parents are committed. The best home schools I have seen have been run by women who are highly educated and typically even went to college in education.

In the public schools given equal intelligence of two students, the difference in achievement is fundamentally based on the involvement of parents. In many public schools you might get 30% of the parents actively involved. Most public school kids doing distance learning currently are not doing shite right now.

pay a decent bit for private school. We are getting lessons sent home daily that take about 3 hours to complete, and there has been no talk about reimbursing us for this period.

Kind of annoyed

Do you remember doing 8 hours of actual work in school? I remember getting done with everything in 5-10 minutes and waiting on dumb kids that needed the teacher to walk them through everything.

Yeah, an educated mind that disagrees with its parents is a travesty.

Two weeks in, my daughter has completed one week of two weeks of assigned homework. But her jump shot and bat speed have both improved considerably. I’m a slacker and not cut out for this homeschooling mess.
