I'm really finding it hard to lean towards "random" too. She lived in her car in his neighborhood, and arrested on site? Were the cops driving by at the same moment or did was she robbing the place and took to long??
"Random" to me is what you see blacks doing to Asians, when they just walk up to them in the street and shoot.
She probably was one of the people she said he was going to help and didn't. Probably humped her and then told her he couldn't get her any gigs.
