Not even close. One of his few positives.

I just don't see how any serious historian, lacking a political agenda, can rank a president in history so soon after he leaves office. You can barely even start to measure the legacy of Clinton, much less that of Obama.

He was 5th best...
1. Reagan & Lincoln tied for first
2. Seventeen presidents tied for second
3. Twenty-three other presidents tied for third
4. Jimmy Carter came in fourth, and…
5. Obama was fifth.

Bush 43 was the worst, and most divisive.
Worse than Nixon?
Worse than Andrew Johnson?
Worse than Harding?
Worse than Grant?
Worse than Buchanan?

He had to rebuild the fricking economy GWB destroyed. Of course there's going to be debt and Trump is going to make it worse.
In 8 years the GDP did not crack 3.0%. It was the first time a President ever failed to do this. Think about that. We've been through the Great Depression and they did it. He had EIGHT years. Don't you think he had time?

And does 'moral authority' include all the brown people he bombed while in office? What about the people killed in his fast and furious gun program? Iran's nuclear threat remains to be seen. Will he still get good 'moral authority' marks if Iran kills people with a WMD?
But he did win the Nobel Peace Prize!

I would argue that any historian that tries to rank a president less than 50 years after his term isn't much of a historian.

This quote from one of the guys on the board:
"That Obama came in at number 12 his first time out is quite impressive," Douglas Brinkley, a Rice University professor and C-SPAN adviser, said in a press release.
How many times out does he get?
So, these things change?
"The survey is surprisingly good news for George W. Bush, who shot up a few notches," said Brinkley of Bush,

He was a god awful president whose legacy is bankrupting the country, destroying all remaining world respect with his disastrously weak foreign policy, presiding over an unprecedented rise is global Islamic terrorists, and dividing the country along racial lines to an extent not seen since the 60s. Yeah he was a great president

Sad part is he intended to do all that and more from the start.

Only had one budget in 8 years.
This was irresponsible, to me. I work a budget for my home. You would think a President would want a budget for the whole country. I don't know of a single business of any size that does not have a budget, but we ran a country without one? (For SEVEN years!?!?)

So much for this boards fantasy of him being the worst. The experts have spoken.
You could make a case for worst president for Obama just because he wouldn't allow Hillary Clinton to be indicted for the many many felonies she openly admitted under oath and even insisted - she committed - under oath.
Stupid cow.
Had he just told her after her 3/10/15 presser that she had to withdraw we'd have a fundamentally different situation right now.
And it is on him and him alone.

Uh no. They're far more qualified than your dumbass.
This is a ridiculous appeal to fake authority. As Shapiro said, a Ph.d from Ferris State doesn't make your argument automatically better than someone else's.

This same group ranked Jimmy carter at 26th. Think about that for a minute. they said 17 other Presidents were worse than Jimmy Carter.

Experts also nominated him for the nobel peace award... and he went on to be the only president to be engaged in a war for his entire term.
Experts make mistakes...
