Ok. Take his response to the recession away. The failed stimulus, food stamps... take it all away
He still shite the bed on healthcare, cash for clunkers, immigration, the bergdahl swap, the Iranian ransom, Syria, race relations, the national debt, benghazi, us bond status, relations with russia, and on and on...
Now we are learning that his administration was spying on political enemies, allied leaders, and reporters. He is bitter, polarizing, and partisan.
He was a failure by any objective measure. He will be held in a special place in American history because he is black, but he wasn't a good president.

Looking at the rankings I can't quibble with having him in the middle of the pack. But that's a reflection on the competition.

In all seriousness, I think that 10-20 years from now is the proper time to make a full assessment of Obama's presidency. Now I disagreed with 95% of his policies, but as of right now I'd put him in the late 20s/low 30s ranking-wise. Not the worst president we've ever had, but he shouldn't even sniff the top 10.

Liberal arts professors rank him the 12the best POTUS? That's embassingly low. He should be top 5 by virtue of being black. Pretty strong admission of failure by these historians.
