Student loans are non-dischargeable. Any other deep thoughts for us?

Thru private institutions, they absolutely can be charged of like any other debt, cards, etc.

Is that deep enough for you, fatass?

Because I know you'll try and pop off again, ill let me cousin explain.

Private lenders (banks, credit unions, or finance companies) do charge off loans after serious delinquency — typically 120 to 180 days past due.

Once charged off, the debt may be sold to a collection agency or retained for legal collection.

The charge-off will appear on your credit report as a major derogatory mark, severely impacting your score.

The vast majority of student loans are federally backed and can't be discharged

Which makes your whole "they're the first thing people stop paying on once they get old" statement pure nonsense made up out of thin air.

Wow, doubling down on your ignorance and your sweeping generalizations. My only emotional response is sympathy for whomever you come in contact with on daily basis.

By the way, for someone who uses the word “illiterate” so much, you may want to check in on the literacy of the person that wrote this:

This thread is not about that small slice of the loan market. It's very obviously about so-called "qualified student loans", which compose the vast majority of the market.

Go ask any student loan borrowers you know and see if they can just have it discharged.
