I was a victim in a criminal case in his courtroom. His professionalism and following the rule of law was most impressive. Too many judges are way to soft on criminals. He gave the defendant an appropriate sentence for the crime committed

Sounds like we have 2 good choices. Greene is the one you want in family court.

OK.. Why hand down? The Higginbotham folks have made a decent case...

I want somebody tough on crime who won't let criminals out with an ankle bracelet to murder somebody after no, or low, bail... which is all too common in Baton Rouge.

Here lies the problem with most voters, they have no clue what a person is running for. He is running for appellate court, which means he would leave the criminal bench. Same goes for Johnson.

They’re both solid candidates with excellent experience in different areas of the law. Higgenbotham comes from criminal, Green family court. Personally, I have a slight preference for Green, but they’re both excellent candidates.

Same. Green is the better choice in this situation. Higginbotham is a fine man however for this specific judgeship its Green.

Here is my story of having a case in front of Hunter Greene.

It was at the very beginning of our adoption process. We were in front of him for an emergency custody hearing. The kids were 7 and 19 months old at the time. We requested a drug test for the birth mom during that hearing. She failed it with numerous substances. He ruled that the kids stayed with us and asked her to come back in 30 days with proof of prescriptions for opiates, and to take another test. She no-showed and we were awarded temp custody. Whether that is being hard on crime, I don't know. But he did rule against a birth mother.

I will not vote for Higginbotham. Here is some of his work:

Arrested for four counts of attempted murder after he allegedly fired on four subjects. Judge Higginbotham sets bond on 12/10/19 for 150k.

Arrested on 11/26/19 for illegal carrying of weapons with drugs. Judge Higginbotham set bond on 11/28/19 for $20,000.

A former football player remained jailed on charges he traded gunfire with another man in a shootout that killed two 19-year-old women. State District Court Judge Beau Higginbotham ordered him held on $90,000 bond.

This is the one that really pisses me off...
The family of a woman killed when a driver was allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase is looking for an explanation after the suspect was let out of jail on a $62,000 bond.

Thanks... This is the kind of information that makes a difference to me, as this type bail reform insanity negatively effects the community. To let these animals out for low, or no bail, is a crime in and of itself. A small group of thugs commits most of the crime in this city over and over. Let them out immediately after a crime, and it never ends.

Don't vote in that race.....just out of spite.

Who is pimping their family in the TV adds? I instinctively vote against that person.....or don't vote at all

Wouldn’t you want Higginbotham out of the seat then? I mean, it sucks to award him with a promotion but…
