Shooter had a pump shotgun and a revolver.

How again would banning AR's stop this, liberals?

I don't think you understand rights. Also, callign something 'regulatory' doesn't make it so.

Liberals blame guns and (oddly) video games. But here's some facts:

The overall murder rate is far lower today than in 1991 (when it was at it's peak). Millions of people own guns yet only 0.001% of them go on shooting sprees.

Millions of people play FPS video games, yet only 0.001% of them go on shooting rampages. Hell I'm a grown damn man and I still fire up CoD from time to time.

Millions of people use social media, FB and Twitter, yet only 0.001% of them go on shooting sprees.

Therefore it is demonstrably true that neither guns or video games or FB cause this phenomenon.

Now, I'm not picking on just libs.

Conservatives will blame lack of religion and morals, but the truth is 99.99% of atheists will never go on shooting rampages. Conservatives will also blame the breakdown of families, which I agree is a bad thing, but the truth is MOST kids these days are from broken families and 99.99% of them don't go on shooting rampages.

So what's the cause? Beats me, but it's not as simple as saying "guns" or "video games or "Facebook" or "single moms". Maybe all play a role in some way, but it's not obvious how.

That Emma bitch from Parkland is tweeting. I wonder if she'll be held to task over her bullying of Cruz. Of course not. The MSM would never do that.

It's time the government treats schools like prison. Metal detectors, checkpoints, pat downs and anyone who brings a gun on school grounds should be charged with conspiracy to commit terroristic acts. Also this pos's should be charged with accessory to murder.

Eh, most people who blame video games tend to be more conservative leaning and religious, based on my experience

But the gun part, yeah, liberals all day

Unconstitutional.

Unconstitutional.

Pearl clutching does not address this.

Here's a link to a Google search of "where do Chicago guns come from." Take your pick on the link to click.

And? Nice dodge. If your claim is that more guns lead to more gun crime, and that it's the guns that are the problem, why do those states with more reasonable gun laws, and more guns, have lower rates of gun crimes?

Street culture and gang life is the problem. Dumb thugs..mostly black and hispanic are the source of the problems with guns, not guns themselves. You would have to be either reeeeally dumb or brainwashed to not be able to identify that fact.

Thats nice.
The problem is that the majority of the perps haven't shown any dangerous mental illness problems.
There are procedures already in existence that can restrict someone who can be shown to be a danger to themselves or others.

Dodge? You asked for evidence of my assertion that guns in Chicago come from outside Chicago.

Nope. Haven't made that claim in this thread.

Learn to read, indeed.

I pointed out a CDC report that showed that guns are used in over 2,000,000 defensive acts a years.

Just to get a gauge on how much you know the subject...how many unjustifiable gun deaths are there in an average year? You seem to think its over a million or two?

Just take guns away from MK Ultra victims and miraculously these shootings will go away.

You're still wrong. You're only counting illegally obtained guns. I suspect that legal guns owners purchasing guns in other states are part of those stats?

Yes..they require physical and mental engagement. Everything does. That doesn't mean going target shooting is the equivalent to working the remote for your TV.

Only exists as a program? A program is 1s and 0s stored on a physical disk.

Thats the point. It can't be equated with a gun. You tried to imply if you can blame a computer program for violence, you must also blame the gun.

He's still wrong.
How many of those guns..bought legally outside of Illinois, were then stolen by thugs in Illinois?
The image it seems he is trying to create is that thugs are going out of state to legally buy guns and bring them back to Chicago. It's a form of lying via statistics.
