Here is something I don't understand

We cover a broad range of offensive and politically incorrect topics every day of the week on this forum, but the moment someone talks about religion or scandals within religious institutions, the moderators immediately anchor, lock, or delete the thread.
Why is religious debate so taboo on this board when everything else is fair game?

I’ve had threads about women’s suffrage deleted. It’s not just religion.

Several years ago the board was being overrun with non-political religious discussions so the mods banned/anchored them. I'm not sure if the same holds on the OT.

Because Christians hold out hope they might convert some dumbass atheists and a slew of atheists live to mock Christianity, even though they supposedly have no interest init, redundant pages of the same ole, day after day

It would be interesting if there was a forum for religious discussions, it would have to be a forum for adults...., things can get quite testy when discussing religion/faith

The board has shown repeatedly that it cant debate religion without it almost immediately descending into personal attacks and derailing otherwise meaningful debate on other topics IMO.
