HERE IS MY QUESTION TO ALL OF YOU

I just want people to answer this question honestly.
We all know whats going on in Washington. Regardless of what happens to Trump (Impeached, re-elected, etc) this country is trending towards Socialism, and Bigger Government- which is what Democrats want. I believe it is inevitable.
In 10-20 years, as society becomes more programmed and eventually probably does nothing about it, what will this actually mean? Will it be more like "We the government" as apposed to "we the people" ?
Will it just depend on who is in power? Why do Democrats in Washington want bigger government so badly? I understand they need more immigrants, more desperate people, more power for government. But thats not what this country is founded on. Democrats, don't you find it at least a little bit concerning? And Republicans, what is it thats specifically concerning about bigger government?

Two reasons
1) they want to control the masses and.
2) to do that that want to tear it all down and build it back up how they want it

I am holding out hope this is cyclical. I know there is indoctrination in schools and true conservatives are becoming the minority, but the beauty of this country is it is set up to swing like this, but never over the deep end.
That said...
I believe it will. There is always resistance to the majority.
Easy answer. Power. They truly believe they know what is better for the average American than the average American.
Continuation of my answer above. Government does not know what is best for the American people. This country was founded on the power of the people to make their own decisions as to how they live their life. The Democrats want to limit that, which gives them more power.

I think your fears are somewhat but not quite unfounded. The people with the loudest voice are often cut from little moral fabric. That isn't a partisan statement. Speak softly but carry a big stick is what we should look back on. Social media has given platform to the loudest most obnoxious people on the planet not only be heard but put into power. It will take some time to adjust to this new social media age/movement we are experiencing in politics. Once the old guard dies off I think we'll be fine.
The only thing i'm scared of is someone facking up Thanksgiving dinner with some politics.
