If Trump really wants Mueller fired he’s gone.

He’d just have to take an axe to the DOJ.

The AG has to provide Mueller with a letter which outlines the reason for his dismissal for cause, which has to be in compliance with DOJ regulations.

Mueller could and likely will appeal his dismissal. The DOJ letter of dismissal gives Mueller a road map as to where to go with his appeal.

I still gots some questions about the tarmac meeting....can we discuss that?

Sure. You can talk about anything you want. But Trump must be satisfied with the explanation because he hasn't investigated it anymore....or really done anything to "lock her up". The only question is why not?

So you admit that Trump did not fire McCabe? That's not what y'all were saying a few days ago. Comey, for that matter.

Edit: unless you are talking about the special counsel role, in general.

I am talking about Mueller's position as Special Counsel.

Have you noticed that the media has begun to spin virtually everything Trump does and everything Russia related as nefarious or illegal with carefully crafted headlines?

For example: MUELLER LOOKING FOR ANSWERS ON TRUMP'S EXCESSIVE ABUSE OF RANCH DRESSING

It really is funny. On this board too. You can tell they've basically thrown in the towel on proving collusion, so now, they are reduced to griping about the sanctions he chooses to impose, the speed with which he rebukes Russia or "muh meddling!!!".

They basically want him to ACT like Russia did all the evil shite their stupid asses believed Russia did but have no evidence of.

You have morons comparing Putin to Hitler which is just LOL.

It's like all of these people just decided to forget ALL of their rhetoric regarding how to approach getting along with the world a mere 8-9 years ago.

frick. They were fawning over NOKO like a month ago solely because it was counter to Trump.

They've basically lost their minds.

It's amazing how 1 man can wipe all of those accomplishments away by being complicit in an attempted coup because he can't accept the will of the people. Thanks for your past service. Your present service is a disgrace.

Is this crap ever going to end?

No. As soon as it ends, with Trump cleared, Sessions can put the hammer down without being accused of covering for the President.

Or Yes, Mueller is stalling for Trump, allowing Sessions to gather as much information on the swamp as he can, before ultimately clearing Trump and chaos ensues.

Okay.

That's factual. Trump can NOT fire Mueller. He could , of course , fire the guy who could fire Mueller and put someone in who would do so, but he can't directly fire Mueller.

I also question whether Rosenstein even had the authority to HIRE Mueller in the first place. The law is pretty clear "The ATTORNEY GENERAL" there is no provision for the Deputy doing so if the AG recuses himself, because essentially the Special Counsel is supposed to be used in cases when the AG needs to recuse himself. I don't believe there was any need , or any mechanism for Sessions to recuse himself from hiring/firing the special counsel. But that's spilled milk at this point, and I don't see Sessions firing Mueller.

I don't see Trump doing so either, but he is unpredictable, to put it charitably.

It is extremely important that none of the questions he wants to ask pertain to russian collusion.

If he's asking about the Trump Tower meeting that's about collusion. Campaign dirt and sanctions were discussed and Bannon has said he thinks the boys would've taken the Russians upstairs to meet dad.

This is vlassic...they really had what they wanted. The had trumps name attached to Russia and his popularity plummeted..but like all idiots, they kept at it too long and the public sees the truth and now has swung back in trumps favor because the public gets it thrown in their face too much.

Perfect example of pushing it too far.

Dems win this IF 6 months ago Meuller comes out and says "I suspect there was collusion, but proving it on paper was impossible"
