So at my work there are 2 guys, one is named Hennes, the other is named Sultan, both are your typical #resist types.

Anyway Hennes was going on today about how we are in a recession and how the economy is in the crapper and has been since Trump got inaugurated, as the tax cuts helped spur the economic disaster we are in and how things are really bad but the Trump administration is lying and gaslighting about how the economy is actually really good. He says the trade war is killing off industries and that the stock market shows nothing but the 1% getting richer, he said for the 99% who arent rich the economy is in a major recession, perhaps even a depression.

Sultan agreed and said that non rich people in this country have never been worse off. He said the only reason unemployment is low is because most of the jobs being created are minimum wage jobs.

Both agreed that whoever wins the democrat nomination will turn the economy around.

I’m relatively ignorant of economics and I readily admit it. Sultan & Hennes should do the same and shut up.

The old "only minimum wage jobs are being created" line. Libs have used that since Reagan.

A recession is two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth - we need one negative quarter before such talk should even commence.

Finance 101, right?

Recession used to be defined as two consecutive quarters of negative growth of gdp.
Now it’s whatever some alphabet swamp board says it is.

I do agree that if a Dem wins in 2020 they will take credit for Trump's economy.
