I ask the question.....what is more cruel...?? Promising people coverage when you know that it is IMPOSSIBLE to cover people without stealing money from others to do so (OBAMACARE)......or being up front with people and telling them, if you want health care....get out in the working world.....learn a skill.....get an education and get a job with healthcare benefits.

Healthcare is NOT a human right.

No, but ensuring people have affordable access to health care is not only the moral/ethical thing to do, it's also logical in order to keep your populace as productive as possible for as long as possible.

You know there are several great charity hospitals throughout the country.

Then, we should eliminate all welfare? That's an interesting point from a dem.

I do, but relying solely on charity is unfortunately not a practical route.

Which is what happens when uninsured people go to the emergency room.

Do you think there is a job with health benefits available for every working age adult in this country?

I am for common sense reforms to make a pure safety net program like welfare more efficient on economic grounds

The people who can't "afford" healthcare aren't productive anyway.

There is zero logic involved for paying for the healthcare of individuals who contribute nothing to society.

Well the bill does away with the employer mandate. There will always be unskilled laborers, they are needed. They don't deserve health care?

Which is why EMTALA needs to be repealed.

Yes, it is cruel. It subjects us to continued government manipulation of insurance instead of getting the frick out of the way so we can manage costs ourselves.

Please enlighten me on why it is the job of the government, of all things, and the legal taxpaying, working citizens of the US, to ensure that people have access to healthcare. EVERYONE has access to health care! EVERYONE! It's up to each individual to get off of their lazy asses to take care of themselves. Oh, there's even healthcare for those that cannot help themselves. This was ALL available BEFORE obamacare was forced on everyone.

Now with obamacare, those of us that actually work for a living, are forced to pay for the lazy asses and "baby factories/baby daddies" health care at our expense. A MUCH higher expense Here's the kicker, those of us that work were already paying for those bums BEFORE the obamacare garbage!! You idiot!

If they're so great why would anyone go to a different hospital?

The one here in Birmingham, Cooper Green Mercy Hospital, I wouldn't step foot inside for fear of catching a disease. The only great charity hospital I know of is Shriners for children

(notice I didn't post anything about supporting or opposing any healthcare bill/law. I'm simply refuting the retarded statement that charity hospitals are "great")

Very well said. Health Care, like food, water and other things are available to everyone.....in tremendously more abundance than any other place in the world. Problem is, you have to get off of your lazy DIMOCRAT arse to be able to purchase these things.
