One of the biggest things working for Trump right now is the benefit of the doubt. He has a track record of being proven right again & again(after being dragged through the mud), that's built up considerably more trust than he had before.
Meanwhile Obama has lost a lot of luster since 2016 and is viewed as a huge driving force of the disastrous state of modern American politics. He didn't resonate in 2024 & comes across as a big fat phony.
