I’d like to think McCain could be remembered for the optimism he inspired in millions of people when he chose a running mate who, albeit was terribly unprepared for the assault, spoke to the heart of American ideals. (She was the only reason the election wasn’t a landslide for BHO.)

People’s true colors come out not from wins, but defeats. Notice how quickly he distanced [think betrayed/backstabbed] himself from his running mate after the loss. She became his reason/excuse for not winning.

Along comes the Donald. Wins against impossible odds (although they were never near impossible as the media is a complete fraud). His agenda set: America First. “Let’s scrap this financial noose that has been tied to the American peoples’ necks called Obamacare.”

McCain’s ineptitude, weakness and pure jealousy led him down the path of betraying his supposed ideals. His true character was revealed in his dramatic Oscar-winning Thumbs Down performance.

I’d like for him to be remembered that way, but it’s impossible. He’s gone. Trump carry on...

Palin? She would have done far better if she could have convinced the american people that she can read and write

Domestically, he’s the best president since Reagan.

I’d argue that he’s the best President in my lifetime. I would’ve never thought anyone could be as beneficial to this country as Reagan. I was wrong. As much as Trump is cringeworthy and biting in his demeanor [think unpresidential], he is unparalleled in his ability to get things done.

Reagan never had an unrelenting power against him. Reagan understood how to “work with people”, “get people on his side”. This is not possible now.

I don’t want Trump to be Reagan: he would quit. I want him to fulfill the promises he’s made and is trying to fulfill against all odds. Build that wall.

And the Republicans voted to repeal it 30+ times when they knew Obama would veto it. When they knew Trump would sign it, they couldn't get the votes. That's on the spineless Congress; not Trump.

Well, my insurance rate has gone down since Trump took office after it more than doubled under the leftist hero. My friend will also no longer have to pay $1500 for not having insurance he doesn't want. It would be great if we could stop hard working Americans from having to pay for all the leeches, but I will take what I can get at the moment. If the democrats and GOPe weren't so emotionally fragile, maybe we could get even more improvement.

At least the tax cuts and rising wages we have gained under Trump will help offset the damage done by those you support, for those who were able to survive the tax cut death toll at least.

He's 100% right. The negativity about Palin came long after the election.

Voters need to be reminded which party totally opposed the Trump tax cuts.

His actions towards the end of his life offers evidence that he was a bitter, mean-spirited and vindictive person.

Having said that, I thank him for his military service to our country. His political "service" ....not so much.

Palins record indicates that she could fly an airplane better than McCain.
What! He wrecked several, killing dozens of fellow sailors. Palin was never given the opportunity to pilot. Her parents didn't have the political clout. Palin never killed anyone.
Poor John despite all the advantages he had from birth, he died a bitter vindictive A-hole. Everybody knows it, but politics guarantees faux respect. Liars all!
