Honestly I get better service from USPS here than I do UPS or Fed Ex.

Post office, and really shipping in general, is crazy.
I order stuff online a good bit, with USPS, UPS, FedEx, and Amazon (and even Walmart) delivery. My observations:
1) Walmart delivery might be the best, if it's in the store... because it's been some dude in his personal pickup truck dropping it off, usually same day (buy it in the morning, and it arrives that afternoon). And if your total is over some relatively small amount, delivery is free. And I don't have Walmart+, it's just a regular order.
That beats anything Amazon can do; it's pretty rare that I even get next-day delivery from Amazon anymore. Obviously Amazon has better selection, but if Walmart has what you want, the prices are often competitive too.
2) for actual shipping of packages (USPS, UPS, FedEx), I go with USPS when I can. It's cheaper, and USUALLY arrives just as fast.
FedEx is the worst, in my own personal opinion. I've had them leave packages at the wrong address (and the house they left my stuff at was empty, with a Sheriff's Sale notice pinned to the door). They also have dropped off a few items at my doorstep that required signatures, the driver actually signed for them himself. When you factor in that they're not even the cheapest, I avoid them whenever I can.
UPS has usually been decent, but I've had my issues. They once lost a $300 package in Memphis, luckily it was reimbursed. There are times they don't deliver my package until late, or it rides the truck an extra day... *I order bulk ammo online, and it's usually UPS that ships it. My boxes are quite heavy. I think that's the issue there, the driver usually puts my shite under other stuff.
USPS usually seems to ship pretty quickly, but I've had adventures a good bit. Things will arrive into BR, then go elsewhere for a while. Off to Maine, or Philadelphia, or somewhere else like that; and then back to BR, and then delivery. I bought a calendar in November that came in February
, after being "lost" in Austin for a month. But it did finally come.

I live in Covington and walked into the Madisonville post office and put my 2 Valentines cards addressed to my grandsons (at same address) in the mail slot on Monday Feb. 3rd. Today is the 18th and they have not been delivered. Ugh

Thanks for that info.
I just posted this a few minutes ago. My cards were addressed to a suburb of Indianapolis!
