Yes, a women I started seeing last year. It started with me pointing out and showing some real life examples of how the American white male is literally Hitler to many on the left.
I hunt and fish which was something she had no knowledge of. I taught her where her food came from and explained how much healthier the fish and game I kill myself or healthier and cleaner.
Initially she was horrified over Trump but I would simply make some points that she obviously hadn't thought of or had been exposed to.
It took time but slowly over time she really began to see things more clearly.

Close but never completely, like addicts, they have to want to quit. You cant just have the truth laid out in front of them, they have to actually quit reading click bait headlines on their facebook feed. They also have to be prepared to lose alot of their junky friends, sometimes lifelong friends, who will likely cut them off once their allegiance to the left appears compromised.

Myself, I still consider myself socially liberal but I will never associate myself with this new democratic party. They've actually turned me into a much more conservative person than I've ever been. The average person sees how they act and it scares the shite out of them. I pray it's a red tsunami.

My father in law. Lives in Athens, Ga retired as a principal. Voted for Obama first and second time. He slowly started to come around in Obama’s second term and voted for Trump in 2016. Doesn’t agree with everthing he does but shakes his head at the way education and the country was heading. Was anti-2nd amendment until I took him to the range and let him shoot. He had a blast and bought his first gun shortly thereafter. Also used to drive a KIA Soul until I let him drive my truck one time and traded it in the next week for a Ram 1500, I’m slowly bringing his redneck side out

If so, how'd you do it?
Converted a lib? yest. Converted a NPC? Not a snowballs chance in hell.
Simply pointed out, using statistics, not arm chair QB trailer park arguments, where liberal programs have actually set entire races back decades.

I tend to go issue-by-issue down the list and by the time I’m done I’m able to logically demonstrate the Conservative ideologies of today and their similarities to Liberal ideologies of the 90’s - early 2000’s. I demonstrate how far left the Left has shifted. Then I compare today’s progressive ideologies with Marxism/Socialism ala USSR/Cuba/Venezuela etc., and how well that shite worked out for everyone.
All I do is attempt to put things in perspective by basic compare/contrast. Most people are so busy with life they truly only have the “image” of Democrat = liberal = good, when in truth liberty is much better represented by the conservatives(so ironic!).
It’s a step-wise process, but calm reasoned argument trumps maniacal fervor every time.

The fastest way to convert a young liberal is to wait until they have a full-time job and then ask if they are still a liberal.

This could be a movie! I can just see the montage, a la Naked Gun, you and your FIL, leaving the gun range, you helping him as he takes the wheel, driving your truck, laughing, then getting ice cream, then chasing some Antifas off the street....LOL

Myself. The left went straight looney so I ran in the right direction.

Exactly. It wasn’t crazy to be a Dem in the 90s. The Dems weren’t screaming about genders and white privilege. And I hated the W Bush presidency so much. I still think he was an awful president.

I believe my dad was much more influential about his coat wearing than I was. I try not to talk politics in a family setting, but he and my dad would sit and talk at family functions about politics and stuff more so than I would. He was a retired principal and my dad was a retired police officer and truck driver so two opposing views that would sit down and talk. I was just the middle man. I think once he got out of the liberal echo chamber that is education (especially in a place like Athens, GA) he started seeing the light and other view points. My wife was more of a Moderate until we got married but she is solidly on the right now.

I’ve never been able to have a civil conversation with one long enough to convert them.

The only lib that I know pretty well is my older sister. She's not a sky screamer but more like a pot smoking hippy lib. She lives 8 hrs from me and I only see her once or twice per year.
