I was careful. They found out who I was because on /r/cfb I had mentioned I played football at TCU and was active in the /r/sandiego subreddit at the time. Probably didn't take them long to be able to find a TCU grad who played football living in San Diego on LinkedIn.

I'm not sure what type of jobs you are currently applying for, but being you have money and time on your side, could you start your own market research business and pander to the MAGA crowd. Why deal with all the stress of searching for a job you can do better than the people who may be looking to hire someone with your talents!
