I responded to one in Georgia about 2 weeks ago, but it seemed to be pretty right leaning, and it wasn’t clear who was collecting the data or for what purpose.
There was no attempt to raise funds or ask for donations, so I’m assuming it was legitimate.

Not in quite some time. But when I did, I told them I was voting straight ticket (D) because I didn't want to make another list, and they'd have just lied and said I did anyway. It was XiBS News.

Quinnipiac polls buy lists of names. These lists are used more than once as they do cost money.

Once, when I moved to another state. At the time, being a new resident, I could not answer one question as I did not know who was on the ballot. Since then I've not been polled again. However, if I don't recognize the telephone number, I won't answer the call.

I've replied to a few by text. The send me $2 amazon credit each time. They start out with a few random questions, then it gets political. Only takes a couple of minutes. Rank 0-10 how you feel about an issue or politician.

I’ve answered two polls by text message in the last couple weeks. I indicated I was voting Kamala. I did answer favorably for Trump on other questions and unfavorable for her.

I think I got one last night, but I didn't recognize the name and didn't answer. My wife looked it up and it was a polling agency. I don't remember which one, but I still would not have answered.
That is why I wonder how polls are ever accurate. A lot of people - in particular conservative, privacy minded - don't answer or if they do, they refuse to answer questions.

Not polled. But got a random text from a Susan working for gov Newsom the other day about needing volunteers to reach out to democratic voters.
