Happy but I won’t be simping for Elon

I’m obviously glad Elon bought the company and will take it private. And I think it will level the playing field for us a great deal. Since let’s admit, sadly, most of the discourse is those 140 character tweets since most people don’t have tactile enough minds to have discussions here on the bawosphere.
But - Twitter today is a cringe fest. Everyone is simping for Elon. It looks like the right wing version of the “believe the science” vaccine pictures everyone on the left took. Virtue signaling you’re in the in crowd on the new right by simping for Elon.
I’m highly undecided on him. Just bc he has some overlap in common enemies as an American conservative patriot doesn’t mean he is one. I’m leery of the Neuralink technology. I’m not anti-progress, but it is a can of worms. He’s one of the biggest reasons we’ll implement a universal basic income.
As a believer I don’t know any way to spot the Antichrist. I find it futile to try to figure out. I just go by a rule - don’t put a crown on any human

You may be right. All I’m saying is I’m not sold yet. May could’ve been more concise.
To me, the range is wide with him. If you guys are already sold on him then great. I might be there at some point

So, why the pearl-clutching over Musk? He is what he is. The need for all of these purity tests before people “simp” for other people is overly-simplistic thinking. Just take the W on this event and move on. Nobody has to be a disciple to appreciate what he’s done.

I’m with the 90% who are just happy. I am. I stated that. I think Twitter will get cleaned up and as much as we like to knock it, it is a big part of culture. So huge win.
I think everyone who downvoted me thinks I’m talking about everyone in a jubilant mood, but I’m one of those people.
But I’m seeing it go way too far for some - that’s what I was responding to. Like use some discernment is all. He’s personally not going to make America more conservative. And I’m sure he finds the right wing affinity for him pretty odd. If he fully gets the world he wants, it’s not much different than the WEF’s vision. Let’s be careful what we wish for
