Probably. I can remember a story about a journalist I think from somewhere that was accused of taking part in the Oct 7th attacks. I can also remember a story that claimed that after the IDF started its ground operations in Gaza that IDF soldiers would get into a firefight with Hamas terrorist. After the terrorist was taken out and IDF troops would move in to check the position over they would find UN humanitarian aid packages or wrappers. The food that was sent for the benefit of the people Hamas would take it and give it to its fighters. I can’t remember where I heard that story exactly but it was probably from Fox and Trey Yingst. That guy is usually all over it.

That kind of shite has been going on forever. In Africa they'll let the food rot and spoil in the sun before they let the people have it. It's disgusting.

This is separate from the announcing three weeks ago?

Well wasn’t the reason the Black Hawk Down incident happened was because one of the warlords was taking control of all the UN aid and Clinton sent over US forces to stop it?

The state department announced this a little more than an hour ago. So I guess maybe it's a little more "official" now.

Initially, yes. Then the American mission changed when they killed some Pakistani Peacekeepers. The UN called for the arrest of the warlord responsible and we sent in SpecOps.

I thought it was something like that. I watched a documentary about that. The guy giving a lot of the training to that warlords forces was a man by Osama Bin Laden. I think that was the first time that Bin Laden and AQ first popped up on our radar.

It was a frickin bad ordeal. And look at us now, we are importing Somalians by the boatload.

lol. I’m tempted to go back and try to find that documentary and rewatch it and refresh my memory. I wanna say it’s was either the first time or one of the first times that we became aware of Bin Laden and AQ. If I remember correctly I wanna say training these Somali militias was one of the last things he done before going to Afghanistan.

I trust them less than I trust the Iranians. I’ll wait until it actually happens before I call it historic, but if it does there’s no question it’s a massive step towards a reshaped Middle East.
Also means we don’t have to sends millions in aid to Israel anymore because the threat no longer exists, right?

You know there might be nicer places in Somalia than there are in downtown Birmingham where all those flusters have basically stolen money from the US taxpayers and sent it back.

It was pretty early in his terrorist career, but not when we first became aware of him. They had a file on him for at least a year beforehand when his network attacked US forces in Yemen. At the time though they just viewed him as a financier instead of a guy running his own network. The US withdrawal from Somalia legitimized him in a lot of ways and he pointed to that withdrawal as "proof" that the US could be defeated.

Supposedly this is already in the works.

I watched that documentary earlier this year. I really did not know he had that heavy of ties to that region. Clinton seemed to have dropped the ball several times with him.

"Dropped the ball."
1992: Bin Laden's network attacks U.S. forces transiting through Yemen.
1993: Al-Qaeda assists Somali factions fighting U.S./UN forces.
1993: Black Hawks are shot down; 18 Americans die.
1994: U.S. withdraws from Somalia.
1996: Bin Laden declares jihad against the United States.
1996–97: U.S. intelligence finally begins understanding al-Qaeda as a major organized terrorist threat.
1998: U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania are bombed.
2000: USS Cole is attacked.
2001: 9/11.

Well it is an understatement but he certainly fricked up a ton when it came to dealing with Bin Laden. Clinton was also good at dropping balls on interns too but that’s a different subject for a different day lol.

I sure hope so but we’ll see.

WTF is the United Nations? Get the USA completely out of the United Nations.
We're letting them take the lead on the Gaza relief, even though it still doesn't recognize Hamas as a terror organization and has worked hand-in-hand with Hamas over the years.
Maybe the 200 man ISF contigent can at least get into Gaza now. They have a quarter billion dollars of our money (and counting) to spend, after all.
