I think it is wishful thinking when people say "come and take it". There is not going to be some SWAT raid on your home, that is not going to take them.

It will start with banning new purchases and buy backs. Also making ammo impossible to get. Red flag laws and registration requirements.

Then anyone not registered will be considered a felon, and if you use your FA in self defense... charged with murder.

The only thing that can put a stop to it is real governors and AGs wih real balls and hopefully the SC can step in.

Here is a thought. If gun control comes, it may be best it is through EO and not legislated in congress. Makes Joe* look more like a Tyrant and much easier to reverse through the courts and through a change in office.

AR and AK style weapons are actually used pretty frequently in homicides. I’d estimate at least 7-10% of them.
Nope. You're by a factor of 3x and it inclueds all rifles, not just "AR and AK style".

Twice as many people killed with hands and feet than all rifles. Let's ban hands and feet!

Sensible, common sense boot control is needed. You know who wears boots? Soldiers! No one needs assault boots. Weapons of war have no place in our society.

I don't think that this guy knows that most of us know how to actually make ammo. Time to start picking up my shells.

Tried to buy primers lately? Also, they can ban the sale of ammo making components with the stroke of the pen.

Yep, unless you can machine your own casings and mold your own bullets. I looked into a setup, and was looking about $1000 all said and done.

Joe has specifically said that he want to do it through Congress, not EOs.

The setup was when Obamacare/CDC required doctors to start asking about guns in the house.

I remember this. Totally bizarre for doctors to ask a question like this.

Joe isn't in charge and even if he was, he isn't exactly known for his honesty.

Which would be unconstitutional. Americans are under no obligation to comply with unconstitutional laws.

They’ll just declare a nation emergency and do what they want. That’s politics 101.

It's going to take someone with illegal guns to go into one of those in office is homes, gun them down and bludgeon them before its considered a rethought process. They're not making you safe, theyre conforming you into trusting that they'll handle the situation promptly which is a lie.

Ok, you can pretend you don’t have any guns, that changes nothing, nobody is going to knock on your door and ask for your guns, they don’t have to. You will never be able to take a banned weapon out of your house without risking going to prison. Get stopped for speeding with a banned weapon in your vehicle you go to jail. You will lose your job, have any professional license revoked. There will be rewards for neighbors willing to turn you in, who can you trust? Those caught violating gun restrictions will be made out as a lower form of life than drug dealers. So again, having to live like a drug dealer with a hidden stash of illegal weapons doesn’t accomplish much. I’m an old man, I may be willing to go that route, but how many 30 somethings with young families and careers are going to risk throwing it all away to live as a felon?

Truth is, none. If there is a real way I can fight for mine and my family's freedom, I will sign up for that. But living as a lone wolf felon is not appealing.

And you'll be looked at as the "crazy" one. Nothing united about this country. Just the way they like it. Grandkids wont even know what a gun is?

Ammo control is their best bet. People will find a way to make their own.

It's a good thing criminals don't have to worry about registering guns. Otherwise, how's an armed robber or drug dealer supposed to make an honest buck?
