MTG made what seems to be the equivalent of an Obama cattle guard or corpseman gaffe, and that triggered a pseudo-congressman to parade down to her office with a platoon of islander NG soldiers following him. Terrible optics and likely unethical IMO.

They are lucky we kicked the Japanese asshoe there 80 years ago and liked it so much we decided to stay. Otherwise they’d be a little island with nothing going on.

Being a US territory and a "foreign land" is not mutually exclusive.
The Philippines was a US "territory" for 35 years... it was most certainly still a foreign land with no connection to the US in any cultural sense. Guam was a possession for pver 50 years before it officially became a "territory." Culturally, it's still a foreign land.

Guam was a possession for almost 50 years prior to WWII... we took Guam from the Spanish when we obliterated what was left of their Navy in 1898.
