I’d put his arse back on the stand and question him about it. I’d ask him under oath what he offered in exchange for the charges being dismissed.

I'm trying to confirm, but don't think you can get EMT license with felonies. This guy has a record at least since 2013. I find it hard to believe that someone with robbery, weapons, and dwi charges was able to attain training while living a life of crime. But, dumber things have happened.

I don’t think he ever caught a felony & he was an EMT-basic for a private co., basically a low pay scale grunt.
Looked but haven’t confirmed if that was his actual employment at the time of the shooting. Assuming he was as the the defense didn’t approach that in questioning.

he hasn't had a valid emt license since 2017 i believe according to the testimony yesterday.
iow, all the ems bullshite spewed by the prosecution was exactly that, bullshite.
he was trying to cover up his real motivations to video the police and be at the riots.
