re: Greta gets nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize lost credibility when they gave Obama one. Yeah the same man staring illegal wars and droning kids is a man of peace

The nobel prize is like any prize, silly and arbitrary. That being said why are we attacking someone for taking a stand that, even if it turns out is wrong, would still help the earth. Frick her for wanting to make the world cleaner.

So she can be a surgeon, boat captain or air traffic controller later in life? Her condition won't exclude her from most professions? So now ask yourself, why is the world suddenly taking this handicapped girl and parading her around as a figurehead? Maybe because she is above reproach in the current climate? Maybe her parents and everyone around her is getting paid exploiting her? Maybe it is the exact same thing in feel and execution that they do to kids who survive school shootings?

The message is one thing, the people exploiting a child are the bad people.
