It's fantastic. Really did not anticipate this quality of schadenfreude. It's like a niche melt of pseudo-intellectual leftists who are very angry and passionate about movies

it really does show how they don't want to figure out a way to work together and live peacefully moving forward
they want war, conflict, spoils, etc
Green Book is the epitome of racial reconciliation and that is just not a palatable message for the left right now

The funniest part is that in 2015 the screenwriter tweeted at Trump that he also remembered Moslems in NJ celebrating on 9/11 and that it must have been a local NY news report they both saw.
Leftists uncovered the tweet in January and used it against the film leading up to last night and were like "OMG the star of your film is literally a beautiful Muslim man who loves peace".

I just peaked on Twitter. Some people are upset due to the origins of the film. The Green Book was based on The Negro Motorist Green Book which was used to publish black friendly hotels and gas stations. According to what I'm reading, it was essential for safe road trips for black families. I think some people are questioning why, with source material like this, the stage was lacking more people of color. Not saying its justified, just trying to understand and clarify the OP.

Division wins elections for the left. You have to keep the racial division and war drums of identity politics beating. It gives you a guaranteed voter block that you can effectively pander to.
