Great quote from Brietbart article on China

This quote is not from the article itself but from a comment by someone named Endofthewest. I hope this is allowed here and credit is given to the author.
It is a real good strong opinion about the war we are in with China. IB should read it.

quote:
China uses trade as a weapon of war. It dumps product on markets at or below cost with the explicit aim of bankrupting competition. It has a manipulated currency rather than a floating one, which is an effective tariff on all imported goods and a subsidy on exports.
Forget the nonsense rhetoric of 'free-trade'. No such thing ever exists. You can only get something approaching it with a single legal, political and economic system where wealth and profits are redistributed to compensate for market inequalities and failures.
All international trade is and should be conducted purely on the basis of national self-interest; which is precisely what the Chinese do. Under Trump, America, finally, is learning to do the same thing. It is not in America's interest to de-industrialize. It is not in America's national interest to allow Chinese to own vital strategic assets. It is not in America's interest to allow her male population to be driven to social and economic destitution because of the destruction of basic engineering and productive capacity.
Only Trump, who is not the servant of the Banking-Globalist cartel, has shown the will and determination to defend America's and American's interests. He is a national treasure and may God bless him and guide him.

Duh. I’m not sure why IB Meltman forgets this

Great comment and anyone who has competed against Chinese products knows this to be true.
It’s why I don’t mind tariffs to defend against their corrupt and dishonest practices.

Brietbart is fall of crap.
If China has consistently sold goods below cost all these years how did the country arise from abject poverty 40 years ago to one of the largest economies in the world?
This is so much BS. This is fascism. This guy is advocating for Wilbur Ross or some future bureaucrat to decide what goods and services should be available to Americans and to decide where they should have to buy those goods and services. Do you want Ross deciding in the name of "national interest" what is available to you?

This all day and every day. Their companies are state owned so they just print money to make up for the loses. An very big advantage over American companies.

The fact that you can't EASILY answer this question pretty much invalidates your stance concerning Trump and his strategy with China imho.

Are you actually saying that Chinese companies are selling products in the USA at comparable prices?
You are better than this.

I swear IB the secret service is gonna come visit you if you dont stop this obsession with Wilbur Ross, its very self destructive. Sometimes fathers dont want to recognize their illegitimate children, and you are a poster child of the reason why....just kiddin ya know I love ya chinaman.

I like how you put "consistently" in there.
How about selling goods below cost till you own the market then raising the prices.
But you know this. I hope all those free won tons are worth it

Reading IBDumbass comments above tells me just how much he knows about China and the workings of a communist government.

quote:where do you and npc90 get this bullcrap from? i have not seen one person advocating for this. conservatives want trade that is as close to open and fair as possible so the companies can decide FOR THEMSELVES. that's how we got into this mess to begin with. us companies were allowed to trade with china and they started stealing our r&d. now the govt is having to step in because it's a national security issue. you and 90 just don't even understand this situation.
