But that’s already the system. This new question doesn’t directly affect distribution of representatives. In fact, if, as the left contends, it results in less people taking the census, then it will negatively affect heavy illegal Immigrant states.

Should (and Is?) Calfornia awarded electors and a proportional number of Representatives based on a population of 40 million?

Sounds wonky, but essentially my pulled-from-the-arse numbers would indicate that California has 33% more throw-weight in packing the House with little SJW's and electing witches.

And I don't like that.

Except our current system already bases apportionment on total population, not total citizen population.

Why is this a good move? Looks completely partisan, and could be used to discriminate

One of those blanketed letter of the law, right wing policies that can be denied on its surface for not being discriminatory, but then will be weaponized by them to mitigate the votes of those they don't want to vote. You know the whole lets avoid the nuance of the bill and how it will affect certain population groups and then act like it will be evenly applied to all groups.

I know what you mean. It isn't enough for President Trump to be reelected in 2020. Conservative candidates need to ride his coattails and 1) Take back the House, and 2) Increase their majority in the Senate.

Frankly, Democrat Presidential field for 2020 is the worst, most extreme I've ever seen. Add that to the antics of AOC, Omar, Thalib, etc, and I'm hoping that a majority of Americans will be fed up with their Far Left bullshite by the time they go to the polls on 11/3/20.

Let me get this straight. We have an electoral college. It's in the Constition. Trump got elected. That's bad.

Apparently, any warm body will do in deciding how many electors and representatives a state like California has, regardless of whether those warm bodies are citizens. That's in the Constitution. That's good.

That about right?

BUT the number of electors and Representatives each state gets is based solely on residents, regardless of whether they are US citizens or not?

The constitution requires that everyone be counted. The slave and Indian discrimination is an artifact of a prior era. Otherwise, count everyone.
