federal grand jury on Monday issued a subpoena to Daniel Richman, a one-time adviser to former FBI Director James Comey, as part of an investigation into allegations that Comey leaked classified information to the media.

The subpoena indicates that the Justice Department launched a new investigation into the leak of classified information to the New York Times, Fox News reported.

President Donald Trump had investigated the allegations during his first term, which was cut off when former President Joe Biden took office in January 2021.

The investigation into the alleged leaks follows a separate investigation into Comey's alleged threats against Trump.

Federal RICO says "Hello". We gonna provide an additional 5 years 'cuz Fed RICO has a 10 year SOL on all of its predicate acts.

Heck, we only need two predicate acts, without mens rea required, over a 10 year period. Baws, you know them government types was organized!!

You should call them and let them know they can't do this. And you would know because you're a lawyer.

I never said they couldn't send a subpoena.

The potential underlying crime appears to be dead, though, unless they're fishing to manufacture something else.

Given the choice between trusting the DOJ personnel assigned to the investigation... and random posters on a politics-based sub-forum on a college football-specific message board....

I'm thinking the US Attorneys involved may have more information at their disposal than we might.

You clearly haven't been following the DOJ fumbling these things consistently, like the first Comey prosecution.

Wouldnt it be great if the POS Comey finally did get in trouble for SOMETHING he did?

We'd all have to pitch in and send a year's supply of Kleenex to the carpetbaggin' vagabond lawyers on here who would be crying their eyes out 24/7.

I've met Gary Sinise. He's a good guy and does a lot of charity work. Obtw, he's not your typical virtue-signaling left-wing Hollywood loon. He's BASED.

PS - In real life, not only can he walk but he would kick SFPLC's narcissistic nincompoop butt.

I bet we get a good viral video clip on X from all this.

And that's all we'll get.

That may be the most limp-dicked attempt at a strawman I've seen since The Wiz. I'm afraid if you want to discuss Japanese poetry, you're going to need to start a thread in the OT Lounge.

Try staying on topic "Counselor".
