So Gowdy is saying someone accused of domestic abuse should never be allowed to hold ANY job in life ever again?
That's a good way to increase our welfare rolls and force more people to vote Democrat. Smart plan, Mr. Gowdy.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government reform has launched an investigation into the White House’s handling of senior aide Rob Porter, who was not issued a permanent security clearance due to allegations of domestic abuse by his two ex-wives.
“Who knew what, when, and to what extent? Those are the questions that I think ought to be asked,” the committee’s chairman, GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, said Wednesday on CNN.
“And if you knew it in 2017 — and the [FBI] briefed [White House officials] three times, then how in the hell was he still employed? ... How do you have any job if you have credible allegations of domestic abuse?”
If that is all true, it represents the first time I have been vehemently in opposition to a Gowdy stance.

I used to think gowdy was the real deal, thought he actually cared. But not since the bengazhi and Hillary private server investigation. He talks a good game. He knows the song but can't dance. All hat and no cattle.
Yup same here. His results have been rather paltry to say the least.

While he's at it, let's start naming the members who have been using this hush fund.

Good. Needs to be known where the break down happened to alllow the wife beater to get close access to Trump.

It really is past time that every single one of those frickers are drug out of the building by their hair and hung on the national mall...
Then we would find out who really wanted to do their job and represent the people...
For the NSA or other alphabet organization that is watching this website and other electronic activity, I am speaking in a purely metaphorical fashion in order to demonstrate a point.... Oh, and you can go frick yourself... TIA....

Unless they show that the photographs were shown to Kelly, then this is all about nothing.
At best, it shows the 'process' may need to be streamlined.
Not every SJW grievance de jour needs to be granted instant "word of GOD" status.
Let us try to evolve the culture slowly, not in limit-to-limit vacillations.

Hypo:
Leading cancer researcher in the world is 6 months out (max) from major breakthrough/cure for cancer.
Goes through a nasty divorce 5 years before and ex pops him with a TRO for "abuse" (which is very common in divorces). Nothing more comes of it (no charges, no arrest, no investigation)
CDC/NIH finds out.
What should happen?

big difference here sir
we have 2 ex wives with photos beaten by husband
fast forward, Porter is in WH filtering through classified intel. So it's not allegations, it seems to be factual does it not?
If the NFL throws out wive beaters, we sure as hell don't need wife beaters near the white house...
It's about image, and character....a big problem since the famous "grab them by the ...." leaked tape in 2016
we just don't need any more women disrespect issues around the white house
not hard guys to accept this is a black eye for the White house...
clean it up, move on
the problem now is CNN is having an organism over this

Ok, just for the sake of argument, I will concede this point... However, what in the world makes this warrant a congressional investigation? This is the reason that NOTHING gets done...

The guy should get fired.
An investigation sounds a bit extreme, but whatever. Let them do it and then issue a strongly worded scolding and move on.

Nope... the outcome:
quote:
"We found that there were some red flags and that the WH followed up on those. The reason for the follow up is the WH did not want jump to conclusions and fire a man over just an accusation. I'm a lawyer and I understand due process and I applaud that. The results were the WH presented Porter with the evidence, allowed him a chance to offer his story. In the end he resigned still denying the accusations.
I wish we could move the process faster and we will make recommendations for that."

C’mon, admit it. You know you stole the seat your queen Hillary sat in when she testified and lied to Gowdy. Do you still go home at night and sniff the spot where her depends leaked when she sat in that chair? Does it make your little nub-nub stiff?
