Sorry. Can't.

Not all Episcopalians subscribe 100% to everything that their denomination officially holds to or supports.
That being said, there's a difference between his personal religious beliefs and what the Constitution allows for in its language. From what I've heard, his beliefs are inconsequential to his interpretation of the Constitution which means I'm not worried about his decisions.

Which could explain why the all come to an end eventually. can't think of a single society that has progressed to the left that gets stronger.

Anyone who thought Roe v Wade would be overturned with one nomination is retarded

There's a difference between that and wanting what was promised: Scalia 2.0

But, the promises that were made were that the Court would be stacked in a direction to overturn Roe. I knew that was a lie, but millions voted for Trump based on that lie.
Out of curiosity...how is that a lie? He can't overturn Roe. He nominated and got a good candidate. Leans conservative. One or two more and he will have the court that would be stacked in a direction to overturn Roe. it doesn't mean that they will....but he will have stacked the court in that direction. Once stacked it would be up to the court.

Mind showing me where Trump promised Scalia 2.0? And, it really isn't over yet.

Even if Trump gets to pick 3 or 4 justices, it ain't getting overturned.

Gorsuch isn't near as "conservative" as the Justice he is replacing imho. All things considered, the Dems got lucky on this one.

I'm talking about the campaign promises made and broken.
He promised to appoint conservative judges. He promised to appoint from a list. He promised to work with conservative groups to find his guy.
He did everything he promised. You're not a Trump fan and not a fan of anyone really left of John Birch Society members. It's cool, bro.

Nonetheless the views of his Church are pretty standard for Episcopalians

People choose what church to go to for a variety of reasons, my wife and I, after having kids, chose churches that had a good youth ministry, it was more important that our kids were in a place where they thrived than if we liked everything about the church.

You sourced Brietbart. That is not legit. What conservatives did he work with to get this pick? Pence would have found a much more conservative SCOTUS pick.
Gorsuch is going to be more moderate than conservatives will be happy with. In 20 to 25 years he will be more like Kennedy or more liberal.

Who gives a frick about Roe or Obergefell? Worry about the things that haven't been decided. Those two cases aren't going to be overturned no matter who is nominated.

I can list many factors on how our society has changed or progressed over the last several decades. I'm not saying it's a negative. Changes from how we have "evolved" due to ideological changes, heck even due to tech advances.

He actually affirmed this during his hearings. I think he will be a good SCOTUS

quote:When it gets down to it nobody can replace Scalia. There are no clones. But to borrow trouble and hyperventilate over what denomination this church-going man of faith attends and belongs to is sheer ignorance. Some of the most conservative Christians I've ever known have been Episcopalians. And I'm a member of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., another ridiculously liberal denomination - which cannot touch the fact that I and many, many other Presbyterians are still conservative Christians and conservative politically and socially.
How was this not bigger news? Why weren't conservatives up in arms about this? He won't touch Roe or Obergefell. We'll get some Conservative opinions out of him, but he'll become a swing vote - hardly a replacement for Scalia.
