Congressional Republicans unveiled legislation on Monday that would funnel billions of dollars to Obamacare markets, and hope the provision can be attached to the long-term government spending that's due Friday.

The new bill would fund insurer payments known as cost-sharing reduction payments for three years, and offer $30 billion in reinsurance funds distributed evenly for three years. It includes more flexibility for states to implement changes to their healthcare systems and allows more people to buy plans that have lower premiums and higher deductibles.

Democratic leaders who support Obamacare have previously said they would not vote to pass the bill because it also contains the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits the funding of abortions with taxpayer money, with limited exceptions.

They really really are pathetic.

This is supposedly what Trump promised Susan Collings to support if she voted for the tax cut bill.

We’ve known the republicans are weak losers for some time now.

All the posturing and drum beating, bringing up and voting for meaningless proclamation after proclamation defunding Obamacare when they knew it wouldn’t pass.

Then flipping and caving when it mattered, when they could have done something about it.

They’re a bunch of weak losers. It’s why I’m no longer a registered republican and consider myself an independent.

How many alarms need to go off until people finally realize that there are no parties. All of teh "conservatives" swearing off guns after Florida should have been a wake-up call.

Voters THINK they are supporting conservatives by voting for Republicans, but it's clear that the neocons have taken over much of the party.

If it is linked with Federal abortion funding, the Democrats will vote against it, and the Republicans will claim that the Democrats are the reason the bill didn't pass.

Just like Trump did on DACA. He tied it to the wall funding and then said the Democrats were the reason DACA was not being passed.

They basically already have repealed it. When the individual mandate was removed, ACA was over. Everything after that is made up by the Secretary of Health. Read the law. This is why SC (Roberts) decision was a big deal, it was the only thing that was really law.

Anybody can call it what ever they want. The bottom line is for 90% of it the Secretary of Health makes up the rules. Which means when a Democrat wins, they can change the rules back. Except the individual mandate.
