Replacing Columbus Day throws more fuel on the fire to destroy his statues. Not sure wtf that has to do with Juneteenth.

Juneteenth actually celebrates something worth celebrating that this country actually itself did - the freeing of chattel slaves.
It's weird that so many of you refuse to have any ability to see things in a historical perspective. You are acting as if a POLITICAL act of Congress to garner votes during the Depression is somehow an irreversible, vital part of America's soul. It's further humorous that it didn't actually become a federal holiday until 1968 (which shows where America's priorities were in that tumultuous time.)

Who cares? Celebrate Juneteenth if you want. I hate Marxists, not blacks. I'm also fine with Cinco de Mayo, St. Patricks's Day, MLK day, Kwanzaa, etc......
Asians need to step up, start bitching, and get some kind of holiday. Maybe something that corresponds to when ACT scores come out. And Italians are officially on the nobody GAF list, congratulations.

It's a "holiday" that's designed to shame America, particularly American whites, it's not about celebrating the Framers' ideas.
There's a reason Juneteenth advocates want to tear down Washington and Jefferson.
