Our taxes will be used to pay the ambulance chasing lawyers for their services.

With the problems for Good, and the strong defenses for the ICE agent, I don't think this will be a huge payday for the ambulance chasers.

I’m sure the GoFundMe coffers will be swollen for Team Good by the time the lawsuit is settled.
Would that hurt your feels?

Agreed, the officer should be charged with murder.

Agreed. Just stop acting like the Gestapo in doing so.

If they name the state of MN as a defendant then that's a guaranteed settlement. The US, not so much

Which part?

I have sympathy for the delulu lady who got killed in a FAFO moment, and her family. I don’t begrudge them asking for or receiving sympathy money and support.

I think them hiring a lawyer to sue the officer and whatever deep-pocketed agency they can is shitty, but par for the course. No feels involved.

Now, if the cop counter-sues, crushing the hopes of the Team Good vampire attorneys, and wins some cash from them, then I would FEEL pretty good about it.

Minnesota won't be named as a defendant. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Minnesota tries to intervene in the suit as an additional plaintiff: "Because of the reckless actions of Agent Ross and his poor training attributable to his employer, the United States, the State of Minnesota hereby seeks reimbursement for the $648,600 it incurred in overtime fees, etc. as a result....:"
