If so, the previous ones seem to be pretty subtle. So clearly it needs repeating.

Can someone explain to me what law this "armed man" actually broke?

100 rounds is a good bit to be carrying around. Not so much to have stocked in ammo cans at home, but quite a bit to be wandering around with.

The more honest, responsible people that own guns the safer the country is. We don't need to restrict gun ownership rights, we need to expand them. A chicken in every pot and an AR in every rack.

The media acts like a few hundred rounds is a lot. Granted I rarely carry more than 350 rounds at a shot.

One of our resident ProgFilth posters started a thread after ElPaso gleefully asking where the good guy was with a gun to stop that massacre.

Wonder where he will be for this one.

From the story posted the Fireman should have been arrested for false imprisonment or unlawful detention, with a firearm penalty modifier.

Open carry is perfectly legal in MO, unless you openly threaten someone with a firearm (brandishing would qualify), seems this guy did nothing wrong.

Taking a gun or two for a walk. He even brought snacks for them should they grow hungry.

Other than walking while stupid, what were the other laws that were broken?

He deserves to be arrested for that. No self-respecting person goes to a Walmart and pushes a cart around. The nerve.

They responded to a call of an active shooter but there were no reported shots fired? What was the charge they arrested him for? Seems like the fireman and the police both jumped the gun. That story is severely lacking in details.

We should start arresting all people that someone might think is a threat. It's given black people such a great respect for the police.

You normally dress up like SWAT when you take your guns for a walk?

This is why the story is news. How do we legally treat cases like this?

What constitutes public menacing? What if he had been running through the store? Complaining loudly to the manager? Asking strangers about politics or Jesus?

What if somebody else shoots him in any of these activities? Murder? Manslaughter? No charges?

Can somebody now legally start a confrontation with him over the last can of spam and then legally shoot him, reasoning that the now deceased had made the first move?

From a legal standpoint, we’re moving back to the 19th century.
