this means that it was a unanimous decision and the justices decided that having her do it would send a clear message
they also wanted to keep a conservative justice from catching heat for issuing what could be interpreted as a partisan decision
wise move by SCOTUS

I’m fairly certain that’s not what this means. Each Appeals Court feeds up to one of the Justices for initial response. The relevant Justice is the one who issues these orders. Ginsburg is over the Second Circuit. I don’t believe anything more than that can be read into it.

at a minimum, it means she knows it won't pass muster and made the decision to issue the decision to ensure it was not viewed as partisan

Thanks. Lots of us aren't really familiar with the nuts and bolts of SCOTUS procedures. (We have no reason to be). This board is sometimes informative.
