He’s a goddamn American icon and my all time favorite hero, brilliant man, not even close to replaceable.

One of the true, unwavering conservative warriors. Not many of even the newer up-and-comers like Bongino have the weighty balls to slap the liberals with like Rush does.
Maybe Bongino does so that might be a bad example... and Tucker is getting there. But Rush is like the Godfather of liberal bitch-slaps and conservative intestinal fortitude.

I don't know if I should share my personal story, partly because it will be hard to type it, so I will be brief...
I was listening live when Rush began a serious tone in his second-to-last segment. I knew to turn it up. I knew to listen closely, and as the first minute transpired, I knew to start a P-T thread, well before he mentioned his diagnosis. So he finally got through it, and I posted a "go listen to Rush now - sad news" thread (which is now 10 pages).
But honestly, part of me wanted to turn the radio off and not listen to it. The words were hitting my ears like pebbles smacking me in the head. If you haven't heard the whole segment, you should... I will try to paste the link here.
The phone call I took from my Dad in August 2015 about his diagnosis was more painful. It, obviously, was harder to hear than Rush's announcement. Thankfully I was able to temporarily move to Baton Rouge and take care of him and say goodbye properly, over the next seven weeks.
But yea, Rush has been a massive influence on me, and his skillset is completely unmatched by any conservative (or liberal/progressive) voice. I hope there is a path to beat this.

If you ever needed more evidence that Twitter is a worthless shithole, go check out the comments from the left. Many of them are “clergy” with such helpful things in their profile as “preferred pronouns.”

Obviously we all pray Rush beats cancer and continues to smack the Dims’ asses but I also pray some young conservatives are ready to pick up the slack if need be.

Look, I remember when Rush was sounding different on the radio for a few weeks, and then he began an announcement, and I had the same sinking feeling you experienced today. That was when he announced he was 100% deaf.
I'm grateful to have had him so many years since then. But, still, today, it was hard reliving that sensation where you knew something bad was coming.
I'll agree with others who say Rush is irreplaceable. The conservative movement will suffer a hit without him.

If it wasn’t for El Rushbo, there is no Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin. He’s kept this country together for a long time. God bless him
