Yeah, you read that right. It wasn't his actual opinion. He was doing a monologue in character in a play about 'killing fascists' and the audience lost it.
Also, who actually brings fruit to the theater to throw at the actors?

That is why Germany and Russia hated each other way more than they hated either of us in WWII and why Germany's only real request in surrender was that we not let the Russians run loose on them.
They were competing for world domination and each knew what the other would do to vulnerable people - because it was the same thing.
