that you can have a legal, peaceful protest during the anthem and it not disrespect vets but highlight the very thing those vets fought for.....and I understand not all vets may feel this way.

What happens when all of the paying customers stop being customers...and stop paying? Where were these asshats protesting during the off-season? All of this was built on a lie (Michael Brown, Alton Sterling) that police officers were out shooting black men for sport like a redneck shoots a deer. Now it's moved on the a protest against Trump and Charlottesville. These players are really overestimating their importance to society, and this is backed up by the empty seats and TVs that aren't tuned in to the NFL.

Alton Sterling? The child molesting convict who was violating parol by carrying a firearm while illegally selling illegal CDs and making a disturbance in public while high on a large cocktail of illegal drugs who resisted arrest and then reached for a gun?

That is the man you want to hang your hat on and rally around?

You have proven that over and over in this thread you don’t understand what an actual fascist is. You don’t have a clue. It’s embarrasing

The president's job is not to influence policy?

Then what the hell is Obamacare?

Alton Sterling was the reason Eric Reid started to protest.

Our President is correct once again. These doopy football players with their gay cheerleaders can't even tell you what they are upset about. Sad.

Legally, yes, but 2015 is when they stopped utilizing it.

Are the kneeling to protest black on black crime? Or maybe they are promoting black marriage and two family households with proper parenting. If not they are wasting their time. I have not watched an nfl game in over a year and I will not again this year.

Not doubting you but has anyone verified that they stopped using it?

It's interesting and telling that you think only "rednecks" are against players kneeling. Poll after poll shows wide majorities of Americans think it is distasteful and shoudn't be done.

I guess living in the left wing hive that is Austin warps your perspective.

It's incredible to me that we are actually having an argument about whether or not it is right to do something like this. Not even a decade ago, a player engaging in this behavior would be shunned and roundly criticized by everyone.

I was just talking about those on this board

I haven't lived in Austin since 2014

I love when you idiots try to make assumptions about me

And it's incredible to me the over the top histrionics many of you have been triggered to

If y'all were more reasonable about it I actually might be more critical of the kneeling.

i'm not here to explain or defend their motivations

if i was a player i probably would not kneel, at least not until someone like Jerry Jones forbade me from doing so

for me it's really more about the entitlement many have over thinking they get to decide for someone else when an appropriate time and place to protest is.
