Do you guys think he would ever move to a pro stance on legalizing weed and having a lesser criminal stance for non violent drug users? I feel like as a republican voter, I wish Rand Paul would stand up to Sessions on his anti drug policies. It’s a losing battle because the majority of Americans support a tax on weed. Make it like selling cigarettes so it’s not easy for children to get a hold of the substance. Also, increase support for health clinics in rural areas gutted by Obama Care too.

No on the 1st part and yes on the 2nd.

I don't think his personal views will change BUT I do believe he'll get on board with legalizing MJ eventually.

What does the Attorney General's opinion have to do with legalizing drugs? Does he supposed to decide which laws to enforce?

Enforces (or executes) is the word you are looking for.
Congress enacts (make law).
Judiciary interprets.

GOP would be unstoppable if they would embrace marijuana legalization and stop acting like it’s the 1930s

Because an inherent part of any law enforcement job is prioritizing which crimes to allocate scarce resources to addressing. Stop acting like this isn't the case.

While its true Congress makes the law, Sessions as a former member and now sitting AG has a LOT of influence and is adamantly been opposed to legalization. Trump on the other hand said he would sign off on it. Sessions would probably resign in protest over it....Trump doesn't like him because of Russia so legalization would be good opportunity to get rid of Sessions.

I do think its more likely to be a second term initiative as they will have to weigh how much it would hurt Trump with old school Republican assholes like Sessions versus the millennial support he could win. He will probably get reelected easily so may not want to rock the boat before 2020.
