This isn't news, baw. We all knew this was coming. It's a political thing and always has been.

Which is why during the debates, Trump tried to tell everyone of this exact thing. I remember Biden laughing it off.

quote:

“Basically what he is saying is he is going to destroy the oil industry,” Trump said. “Will you remember that, Texas? Will you remember that, Pennsylvania? Oklahoma? Ohio?”

Trump....right again. Biden....lost as ever.

A week ago it was 2.99 at the store around the corner from my house *and most other stores around here). It went up to 3.09, then 3.19 over the weekend.

Pulled US drilling permits, for one.

From Jack Phillips via ZH
quote:

For example, Americans are paying about 42 percent more on average for a gallon of gas than a year before, the data shows.
They’re also paying 10.5 percent more for eggs, meat, poultry, and fish; 4 percent more for coffee; 19 percent more for bacon; 6 percent more for peanut butter; 27 percent more for propane, kerosene, and firewood; 5.2 percent more for electricity; 24.4 percent more for used vehicles; and 7.1 percent more for appliances.

We sure did. When the climate change alarmists took office. We knew exactly what was going to happen.

quote:

What has Biden himself done to aid the rise in gasoline prices?

Listened and acted on profiteering climate change alarmists? Rushing to maneuver to get in compliance with that dumbass Paris Climate Accord? Decommissioning oil and gas rigs off the west coast? Cutting off drilling permits on fed land resulting in a loss of hundreds of thousands of barrels of domestic production?

Being the most hostile administration to new energy production?

You think it was just a fluke there were reasonable gas prices in a roaring Trump economy and rising prices now when we still can’t get people’s arse off the couch to go to work?

Brandon's answer is EV. Okay great, where is the plan for charging station buildout? Absolutely zero - even that $3.5T didn't directly address charging stations. Okay, let's look at residential buildout. The electric grid cannot sustain everyone putting 440v chargers at their house. It would permanently fry the power generation.

There's zero answers. Wish in one hand and shite in the other, see which one gets filled up first.

Yesterday we flew to Nashville. When we were getting the rental car we were asked if we wanted the auto fill up option for $3.20 per gallon. I laughed and told the guy what we’ve been paying back in California. It feels like stealing with what they charged for the service. Also, the road to Bowling Green wasn’t full of litter, the roads were in good condition, there was no graffiti and I didn’t see one homeless encampment. It feels so weird not seeing those things or having to dodge potholes. Well done Tennessee and Kentucky.
