Not to derail but as someone who worked with hundreds of Covid patients and got pretty fricked up myself from Delta with two cardiac ablations afterwards this isn’t accurate at all in my experience.

I also was 40 and did two Olympic distance triathlons the year I got it. Certainly not advocating for any of the bullshite, but there is a lot of runway between that and saying some of the variants were less dangerous than the flu. It’s ok to not talk about the thing in absolutes.

Are there ever otherwise seemingly healthy people that, as odds have it, are fricked up by the flu? I think that happens.

We know without doubt that Covid was less an issue for kids than the flu, and a substantially bigger issue for the old/frail. I asked MDs on this site a few times, "at what age does it cross over, where Covid becomes more of a threat than the flu" and the answers ranged between 35 and 50.

If you look at the data corrected for all the bullshite in "Covid deaths" - what jumps out is it was less an age thing and more a (pre-Covid) health/strength thing. Lots of healthy/strong 65 year olds handled Covid much better than a fat 35 yo smoker.

Islam is Satanic ....pure and simple.

The Islamic definition of "peace" is being under the rule of Islam. The definition of war is those not under the rule of Islam.

Lol islam isn't conquering shite. It's only being used as a tool by others to disrupt 1st world countries. Once it has fully served its purpose, Islam will be slowly removed also. Globalism needs all religions to eventually disappear.

There are always outliers. At a certain level it's pretty much just stats, and we know better now what the "unpoliticized" stats are for the pandemic.

Something else I'm curious about is how there can be such wild variability in what we all witnessed. I'm not talking about a healthcare provider like you, but like me - just a guy (64 yo now) from a pretty big family, with a medium-sized family of his own, who spent a few decades in two distinct industries, traveled a ton, so has a reasonably good-sized circle of family and friends living all over the place. My experience is I not only do not know a single person the died of or even with Covid, but the only person I knew that was hospitalized was a 23 yo son of a friend who freaked out when he got the virus, was convinced he was going to die, and so his family took him to the emergency room to shut him up. In reality he was handling the virus just fine but was struggling with the gaslighting. By contrast, there were posters in these threads posting daily about losing friends/family. Some posted about losing 5+ over the course of the pandemic.
